A bridge is a type of restoration used to replace missing tooth(s). As with the crown, the teeth on either side of the edentulous space are reduced. Porcelain and/or ceramic restorations, like those in the crown, are created for the supporting teeth and an artificial tooth, which serves to fill the empty space, is bonded between them.
