The complete removable prosthesis is a replacement appliance for natural teeth. Complete because the prosthesis replaces all of the teeth, either in the upper jaw for an upper denture, or in the lower jaw for a lower denture. The term removable means that the prosthesis can be removed from the mouth for daily maintenance or for sleeping. The prostheses are made of acrylic resin. Dental technicians make prostheses from measurements, impressions and the prescription from a dentist.
