The crown corresponds to a type of dental restoration which, when cemented, entirely covers the portion of the tooth present above the edge of the gum. Since the crown completely envelops the visible portion of the tooth, it becomes its new outer surface. It is made from porcelain and ceramic, a gold alloy or a combination of both.
